Andrés Nova, de 64 años, residente en la calle Rogelio Cruz del sector Los Girasoles de San Luis, es uno de los 1,414 beneficiarios de los nuevos pisos de cemento, quien aprovechó la ocasión para agradecer al Gabinete Social y al Gobierno del presidente Luis Abinader por ayudarle a mejorar su condición de vida.
En esta comunidad, el acto de inicio de trabajos del Proyecto de Protección y Promoción Social que ejecuta el Gabinete Social con apoyo del Banco Mundial, fue encabezado por el coordinador, Tony Peña; el ingeniero Carlos Ascuaciati, director de Infraestructuras; el arquitecto Omar Rivero de la compañía contratista del proyecto en esta demarcación, Grupo Goris, y contó con la presencia de representantes de la junta municipal y comunitarios de San Luis.
En esta localidad se cambiarán 17 pisos, que son parte de unos 200 que se reemplazarán en Santo Domingo Este y Guerra para completar los 1,414 de esta fase y así alcanzar en total unas 10 mil viviendas que fueron identificadas en pobreza extrema y con pisos de tierra desde el inicio del proyecto en 2014.
Este viernes, el coordinador del Gabinete también encabezó el inicio de los trabajos en el municipio de Guerra.
