Santo Domingo, RD. La Dirección Nacional de Control de Drogas (DNCD), decomisó 1,145 paquetes de drogas en el Puerto Caucedo, Boca Chica.
Según el vocero de la institución, Carlos Devers, la sustancia que se presume es cocaína fue ocupada en una carga de café en granos.
Se desconocen quiénes transportaron las sustancias hasta el puerto, pero aseguró que proviene desde Centroamérica.
Dentro de ocho bultos de viaje se encontró la mercancía y dentro de este, además de los kilos de droga, se ocuparon cuatro pistolas calibre 9 milímetros, cinco cargadores, tres cajas de municiones y dos chalecos antibalas.
La DNCD agregó que están realizando procesos de investigación para dar con el paradero de los malhechores.
El vocero dijo que el cargamento fue enviado al Instituto Nacional de Ciencias Forenses (Inacif), para así determinar el tipo y peso exacto de la sustancia.
Son 1,145 los paquetes de droga incautados en Punta Caucedo.
